For over 25 years, Independence University has been offering quality programs at a distance. We have the experience and we know how to do it well. We are accredited and approved by many prestigious accrediting agencies and organizations. Our programs have been evaluated and meet strict accreditation standards.

Independence University is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of the Distance Education and Training Council (DETC).

Our Respiratory Care programs are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) in collaboration with the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC).

Independence University is the first and only college to offer accredited Respiratory Therapy programs at a distance, and we've been doing it successfully for over 25 years. We offer more health-care programs at a distance than any other private accredited college or university.

The college is a recognized member of the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.

Independence University is also endorsed by the National Academy of Opticianry (NAO).
