FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

A: It’s pretty simple, actually. The Good Neighbor Initiative (that’s us) is offering you the opportunity to prepare for and take your General Education Development (GED®) test at absolutely zero cost to you! If you dream of going to college one day, this is your first step.
A: Was that a question? Well, in this case, yes, we really mean it. We’ll pay for everything, including your instruction, learning materials, and computerized practice tests. We’ll even pay for your GED® test fee!
A: Good question! Call us at (801) 207-7747 so we can give you more details and answer any questions.
A: While we can’t guarantee you’ll pass the GED® test, when you come in for your orientation we’ll have you take a pretest. You’ll know right away whether you’ll be able to complete the coursework and whether you may have a shot at passing the test.
A: We’ve got you covered there, too. In addition to providing professional instruction, we’ll provide one-on-one tutoring to help you prepare for your test. And of course, it’s at no cost, too.
A: Generally, our course takes eight weeks to complete.
A: Independence University will provide everything you need! Classes are being held at our Utah (West Haven/Ogden) campus.
A: We hear you. Life gets busy. Our program uses both a classroom and online learning instruction for more flexibility. You’ll attend one classroom or a one-on-one tutoring session each week at our campus as well as complete online study each week.
