SALT LAKE CITY— Independence University is proud to announce three students who are being awarded the Distinguished Thesis Award for 2019. The Independence University Distinguished Thesis Award is given in recognition of outstanding work and effort by students in their reflective scholarship. These students are producing work that reflects a passion for learning, adds to the body of knowledge of the field of study, and represents significant effort to produce exemplary work.

Independence University awards The Distinguished Thesis to recognize these outstanding students. The award is selected by an impartial committee whose criteria for selection includes the quality of the work, the impact on the profession, originality of the contribution, pertinence of the conclusions, and scholarly research. The winners of this award honor Independence University and are represented at graduation by a blue and red braided honor cord.

This year’s winners are:

  • UI University – Financial Aid Processing and Automation Project by L-Dene Zamora of West Valley City, Utah
  • Increasing Profitability in Healthcare Organizations through Employee Satisfaction Approaches by Steven Mounteer of Lehi, Utah
